Here at Theatre Hullabaloo, we are delighted that the Child of the North report for Arts & Creativity has been published!
It contains vitally important research on the importance of creating a culture of inclusive opportunities for arts and creativity for children and young people.
Not only are we proud that our work features in the report, but also includes insights from our Artistic Producer, Miranda Thain & our Research Fellow, Paige Davis.
If that weren’t enough for us to be excited about, the report has been led by our Chair of the Board of Trustees, Simon James.
The report centres around recommendations to the government in 3 key policy areas:
- Cultivating creatvity and critical thinking through inclusive education;
- Increasing arts investment to create an inclusive education system; and
- Enriching education by connecting schools to cultural institutions
In the report you can read about examples of organisations who are championing arts and culture for all children and young people, and we are so proud to be a part of that movement in our region.
